Happy Birthday! As my students would say, "Are you 1? Are you 2? Are you 3?..." They always seem to lose steam when it is my birthday and never finish the count. Although recently Lauren turned 30 and they actually counted all the way to 30 without losing any enthusiausm.
As for gifts, I have a few ideas but will store them up for an in person meet and greet (whenever that may be.) I am so sorry that you will not be in DC for the maypole/blogger celebration but I shall give a little extra love to Letty for you.
I love the picture of you. Isn't it odd that we have built up this 'relationship' and I never even got a glimpse at your handsome face? Very dashing and cute you are, I must say. So, enjoy your special day. I'll be sending happy thoughts.

Poddy I saw your greetings to me via Martin the Man and had to giggle...Wendolene? My brother used to call me that - a long long time ago. That, and Toilet. Because my initials are WC. Oh and he called me Wendalinkie too, which morphed, very rudely, into Lend-a-Winkie (winkie is what we called a willy when we were small.) That made him guffaw as he thought it was extremely witty. It wasn't.
