In fact the goal posts are now floating in mid-air
In fact they're not even goalposts any more
They are seagulls
They fly from the park to the beach
They're over Tamarama now
And you wave them goodbye
Tomorrow or the day after they Will fly over Marseille
And then arrive here
I will see them from my window
The two seagulls
They will land on the rooftops
Turn back to goal posts
And you and I will play soccer
Or football, the name will make us laugh as always
With the moon
Over the rooftops
And all will be well my friend.
