FAREWELL PORTIA

Short but oh so sweet.
I will miss your perfectly tiny face and lazy loveliness.
I thought you were a little cat version of me.
Poop!

She was lovely, pod.
My friend Barnaby Conrad writes that all stories with humans and animals have sad endings, as you demonstrate here. But we have no choice, do we?
She was lovely.

I'm so sorry, Pod.

You've given her a beautiful tribute here.

(And by "beautiful," I of course mean she's a beautiful cat, and you've captured her in a lovely light.)

Oh, commiserations, etc.

Not nice to loose a pet, more so if you project personal traits upon it too.

Had to come back and look at her sweet little face again. You must miss her so. We have 3 cats and would be devastated if we lost them. Cats are just furry people after all :-)

Hope your parcel cheers you up a smidge x

a few of us were looking at this pic of Portia and everyone was saying how the pic was really beautiful-- nice angle and everything, and it is so hard to lose a pet, those little pools of dreaming fur that are cats. every cat has a different little snore or sigh along with a different personality. (sigh)

Thanks for the kindness everyone. She was indeed a little gem. I loved her little nose and ears (but i am a cat ear freak as some of you know). Portia was a good friend's cat, that i looked after for a while and spent last weekend with. She has a crazy sister, Uma, who is very sad know. Portia became suddenly ill, and was diagnosed with the feline version of HIV, so they put her down. Bless her.
You're all sweetness (even you Inc...like it or not!). What a lovely bunch

I am very sorry for you, dear Pod, and for all other humans and animals who mourn Portia's loss. Being a cat fan myself, I know what it's like to lose one of these fascinating creatures. Feels like they take a piece of ourselves with them when they pass away.

Hugs from me, and from Lady Mitzi!
