Here is another shot I took from the Sculptures By The Sea exhibition. The full 'thing' itself was slightly monstrous, but from this angle it looks more interesting and a little peachy, no? Whilst I am here, I wanted to say a big cheesy 'Thank You' to everyone for your comments. I love them!

Have a peachy ol' day hey?

I think maybe I will sit here and look at this all day.

Its nearly 8 am., still almost dark outside and the rain is lashing down.

Why go out, I ask myself? Why not sit here instead and gaze at Pod's peaches, and think about Molly's otters?

This reminds me of an extremely rude poem from the Greek Anthology. You can thank your lucky stars that I can't remember it anywhere near well enough to try to quote it.

Lovely colour and you can almost taste peaches when you look at it. I wish it was summer again. Actually, did we have a Summer over here? I don't think so. It seems to have been raining for weeks. Thankyou for adding some colour to my day Podders. I could almost eat this.

Since you provoked me, you naughty Pod, you, it's poem 119 from book V of the Greek Anthology. An epigram by Marcus Argentius.

There's a very funny version of it by Fleur Adcock, but I can't find it in order to quote it directly. It runs something like this...

Hetero-sex is best for the man with a serious turn of mind,
But, if you're in bed and you fancy a bit of the other,
Turn Menophila over, address her peachy behind,
And pretend that you're screwing her brother.

Something like that, anyway.

Well... those Byzantine Clerics had to have something to busy their minds with in between prayers, didn't they! Hee hee.

Tell you what matey! I've got a right head from that case of sherry we demolished last night! Hee hee.

Superb! Of course I'm trying to remember which sculpture it's from. Probably one of the top of the hill ones that I didn't like. But you turned it to a peachy delight. Of course.
