I AM POD, HEAR ME (RAW)

Thanks for all the well wishes. I have to confess the surgery was a little worse than I was expecting! There was a little complication, and the anaesthetic didn't get to all parts of bone. What fun! I did roar a little. Funny what pulling a root can bring up too! But all is well chez Pod now. Normal service will resume shortly.

FOOTNOTE: I realised that I used the word 'little' several times in this post. I guess I must be feeling all wounded and small.....
Boo hoo!

If on Day 3 you find a chipmunk with lots of seeds in his mouth in the mirror, don't despair; he goes away around Day 5. I couldn't open my right eye on Day 3 and part of Day 4, and my lovely husband kept laughing when he saw me, but Day 5 has been good.

I'll be thinking of you when I eat my first normal "solid food" meal, Pod.

sorry to hear. this dentist just seems better and better (and you are not even in the UK anymore!)
thanks for the reminder on why i want to stay away from dentists and root canals.

ah, just read your note...divorce-in-progress dentist was not the same as this dentist. makes me feel better about ausieland.
hmmm,
before i moved, i enjoyed my last days of being on someone else's health care plan and took a trip to my family dentist. she treats me like family (or did, let's see how it is without healthcare) and told me before i went that i should "no matter what, do not go to dentists over there...not even for a checkup." not my words - just the prejudice of an american dentist...
so even if the bits be a bit disgusting what's this with not being able to post them on the site? you're artistic...have them arranged to fit the parameters of this site. i dunno, maybe add some graffiti, maybe put them in an envelope and post 'em off the the dentist's ex?

Ah we're getting closer to a glimpse of your dashing face. I can't wait. If your face is half as cute as your knees, your readers are in for a treat!

Glad you're recovering - the whole experience sounds grueling. Yikes!! Hope you're soon able to put it all behind you.

Hi, Pod. Feeling any better - at least alive? I didn't see the eye glasses on the lion last time - funny! Also found Hubby had a link to your blog from his for a while!

I had my last penicillin yesterday morning, but still need a bit of codeine... Stitches out tomorrow. I'm hoping the experience is an easier one for you, but you had a far more serious situation, so.... don't know, don't know.... I'll just send lots of well-intended Trans-Tasman "wa" your way.

This is almost like a strip tease.

Getting to see first the side of a cheek,
the curve of a shoulder
then a knee,
then another,
a hairy chest covered in manly mane,

oooooh
can I wait any longer !?!?!

LOL LOL LOL

Love your title Pod
They may have taken a piece of your jaw
They haven't taken your wits!

And yes, multiple personality disorder is possibly the mildest of my mental disorders...

ROBERT - meow? no no! GRRRROARRR! (scared?)

MEG - oh dear, poor you! yes i had hamster cheek on day one, dolly parton facial palsy whilst trying to smile on day 2, day 3 wasn't so bad, but last night was. it seemes like my whole head was pulsating! you sound worse than me though. haven't had antibiotics, just lots of herbs and homeopathy nad osteo treatment, which has helped no end. if you need a good osteo, i know a great one in nelson. rest up meg, and be sure to punish ben when you get full strength back! ;0p

INC - but i have already spent 1000's on them to make them look this good....?

LETTY - co-op? i don't think so love. you wouldn't catch me in there in me right mind! ;0p

MEET ME - aah, thanks. just looking at the owl picture made me feel better. and hearing the word 'trice' did too. haven't heard that in ages! thank you!

JA - fear not, my dentist here is excellent, even though she has made me look like dolly parton (just in the face don't panic!). i have seriously considered posting a pic of me old roots, but they are very unsavoury. perhaps when i go flickr i shall put them on there. yes, stay away from dentists there, but don't stay away from the canals that you oft frequent!

EDWIN - thanks mate. as someone once annoyingly sang 'things can only get better'

BUD - i will, and thanks for the lullaby x

R.DOG - cheers matey!

JD - unfortunately the bed is too comfy. i am in it right now, and i cannae get oot!

JOOOO-C! - thanks. hugs always appreciated. and the shorts....make me feel like i am off to play golf, or that i am about 5. i prefer the later!

LYNNE - thanks! someone suggested i should get my knees fixed next. how very dare they?! ;0)

CHAD - cheers!

MADAME WITZEL - erm, i don't think the anaesthetist had an tender bits to grip? it wasn't her fault. the infected tissues blocked its efficacy. i did scowl ferociously at her though!

RATZ - good to have you back my friend! ;0p

STEVO - my inner lion is very stern, so watch it!

JOHN - it very very was, but tis over thank heavens!

SIMIAN - yes Sir!

REYA - dashing? where'd you get that from? at the mo i look a bit like dolly parton's leftside when she smiles and everything goes south! ;0)

ETAIN - i spoke with my best SA friend last week, and i forgot you guys say 'shame' a lot. it makes me smile :0)

MA - hurrah! i never win anything. can't wait! x

ZIPSTER - thank ye!!

Ooooh Pod,
this series of self-portraits reads like a strip tease !

First the side of a jaw,
An ear,
the line of a shoulder,

Then a couple of sexy legs
and a manly torso covered in a powerful mane...

OOOh, how can I wait ???

I've gone far more direct, you'll find my self-portrait at home today!
