TREE SWALLOW ME

Last night I dreamt that I was sitting beneath an autumnal tree in the park behind my childhood house. I was making something out of leaves and wood, and there blew a gently odd wind, of the kind that stirs when magic is about to happen. A branch of the tree reached down to me in the shape of a pointing finger, and then it spread out its fingery branches so that they surrounded me under its palm. I sat inside and felt very safe and protected.

This morning, at breakfast, I am positive that the strawberry jam plumped up and rose a little to meet my spoon.

Just a little bit.....

Memories, feelings - so good to get them.
Greetings from autumnal Finland, leaves have fallen down from trees and the sky is mostly grey, we are ready for a coming winter.
It`s long time since I visited your blog as Mimmu.
Now I am Leena and I have photoblog.
Welcome sometimes!
I wish all the best to you!

I feel as I have listened to goth music, but the tune was one of the performer´s gentle and cute ones.

Who (or what) wouldn't rise up to meet you? I was thinking of you just this morning - just posted about past lives and shadows, so of course I thought of you.

What a beautiful and magical full moon it was! Woke me up out of a deep sleep. I heard whispers in my ear, so I got up and filled a tiny glass with cream, put it on the windowsill so the moonlight could spill in and enrich its creaminess.

Happy full moon you magical, beautiful creature!

In Washington, DC it is autumn, and the trees are doing the "gently odd" (love that phrase!) rustling all the time. I always think it is the spirits letting us know that they are still there.

I have had a similar dream. Once, running away from some angry elephants, I climbed a favourite tree and it sort of closed around me - a fantastic feeling of tree embrace & protection. Thanks. Your photos are so inspiring. They really reach to a very deep place in me.

Have you looked into your jar of peanut butter lately?

Aaaaah Poddy, being allowed into your world is such a treat. Reading you, watching your photos, how I love it. Thanks for sharing, that old saying that you see everywhere, well that's what I want to say. Except I really mean it. You know what I mean. Thanks for opening your world to us, Pod. You are very special.

Sorry I missed the previous post but I went back and read it and that was another sweet little piece of poetry.

Howdy, Podlet. I believe the Tree is your Mum and the branches are her arms ... and because you were creating art with leaves and wood, she wanted your full attention so she pointed, to remind you that she approves. It IS magical. May your jam always be jammin'. Love from the Prairie. xoxo.

So Poddy with apologies to the beautiful "Irish Blessing" poem, to you I say, with the loveliest of intentions...
"May the strawberries rise up to meet you,
May the magic come right back,
May good friend's comments greet you
And may your ideas never lack.
May your life be filled with laughter
And your heart be filled with song
May you provide us with more photos
As you live your whole life long."
Blessings Pod!

You are becoming one with your surroundings and must feel this in a deep way. I've heard that if you take the time to watch the trees sway in the breeze you can actually feel like you are part of everything around you. I imagine it is like some meditative state that brings peace.

Is it me or are all of you posts lately vaguely sexual?

Magic is all around us if we choose to be aware of it. You, my dear pod, are always open to it and waiting. I feel this way sometimes just sitting in the woods.

Lovely, just lovely.
