POD EMERGES
Phew, well, the course is finally over. After a few weeks of feeling totally creatively uninspired, at the 11th hour, the podbrain kicked into gear and I had a vision for my final project. I shall be putting one image into to the exhibition, and I now have an ongoing project to work on (will post an example soon). Before I did the course I was pretty much wondering around fairly aimlessly (which I am pro at) just taking pictures of things that caught my eye. I think that can work for me, and in some ways think that is Pod style. Since doing the course I have been over-analysing and way too critical of the images I have made, and as a consequence feel that I haven't produced anything of much interest. It has also been quite challenging being forced to take pictures, rather than in my own time, and I am now looking forward to more aimless wandering. Saying that, I am eyeing up another course next term. A bigger one. Watch out.
Meantime, I shall come out from beneath my toadstool, and sit atop it, waiting for something interesting to pass me by. Hopefully I now have some time to devote to you guys again.
Speaking of (toad)stools, on Sunday I fell off a stool and into the wardrobe, whilst putting a pillow on the top shelf. I landed in a selection of jackets (and shouted a few expletives into a pocket). A few hours later my neck seized up and gave me some insight into the world of my patients....I have a little more sympathy now! All better, fear not.

Now see...there is an answer at the end of the rainbow after all. Don't give up your wondering shots...you probably just need to find a balance between what catches your eye and what you learned in your course.
Can't wait to see the new photos...sounds like you had fun in the course.
pod,
xx
We thought we'd never get you back. A lot of cheek those coarse course people have, getting you out of your podambulations. Enough to make any man utter vile epithets to his pockets.
Krikey! That's a toadstool alright!
I've been falling down this week, too. In fact, I tripped over the stool in the small treatment room at Healing Arts and fell into the wardrobe, shouting expletives every which way! Yikes. Falling is not a pleasant experience.
I'm sending you long distance Reiki asap!!
CONGRATULATIONS on completing your course. I can't wait to see what comes out of this, because I'm certain once your brilliant mind and heart process the analytic method you learned, you'll be creating even more gorgeous photos. Can't wait!!
Congratulations on the completion of your course. As a continual student myself I understand all that this involves and why it pulls you away from the blogosphere. But, for the time beind I am THRILLED to have you back posting your fantastic photos and leaving witty comments.
I also love the visual image of little Poddy sitting on a toadstool. I envision you in a cute little outfit with a hat. But you know, I do not actually know what you look like. I have to do some investigation!
You'll have to explain to me what a "Pod" is. But you're wrong. These photos ain't half bad. Have you considered going pro?
I used to do photography off and on before I did standup comedy. Now I'm finding I'm working shows both on and off stage, if you catch my drift.
COFFEE - blood sweat and tears on the course! maybe that's a little dramatic....i shall always be a wanderer i think. i appreciate your enthusiasm! ;0)
LYNNE - awww xx
MR L - yes, how dare they?! the filth that those pockets have heard!
CHED - yes, big enough for me to sit on!
REYA - thanks for the reiki. i think i probably need it at the moment. there is a shift occuring...just when you thought you could shift no more! you are so kind and lovely and just bloody wonderful!! xx
GARY - hats don't really suit me much. they distratc from the wonder of my face you see. cough cough..... ;0)
LUCY - pod=me. a small strange unfathomable thing that contains something a little odd, in a wholly pleasant way of course. thanks for the boost. i don't really want to go pro. whatever you mean by that. i just want to keep taking pics for my own enjoyment. i may have an exhibition one day though....
I heart fungi.
As always, Pod, a lovely post. I can definatelty realate to what you've said here, too - I have found that it's quite different being "forced" to write as opposed to just writing. Though, I must admit, there are gifts to be found in both methods.
WARNING: DO NOT EAT.
well harrumpf, start posting regularly as soon as i go away why don't you.
not even woolly hats?
Hope the sun comes out while you sit ayop your toadstool.
Keep your neck warm:)
That would be ATOP!
Love the shots lil Pod.
Check out my gallery.
Not as impressive as yours.
I love photos. Very few of my own are actually on the blog.
Cheers
at least you don't have the problem i do...no camera, shots everywhere.
camera? shots of the inside of the case, trunk of the car, half a building, blurry cars....
Ouch! I'm glad your neck is all better now so I won't have to kill any chickens to make soup.
I think I would be like you and wouldn't like feeling I HAD to take photos. I like to look around and shoot what looks good to me.
That being said, good for you finishing the course!
JOSY - fungi are (is?) pretty intriguing. have you ever seen the ones that invade insects? each one is different for the individual insect. one day the fungi just bursts out of the insect and grows. imagine that. now there's an idea.....
JD - yes, there is ultimate benefit in being forced to do such things. it is great not to feel under pressure now though....for the time being at least
WAT - not even a little nibble? :0o
LETTY - but i had nowt else to do..... :0(
HHB - tis very changeable weather here at present. it really is very bothersome!
CATWOMAN - my fave character in batman! hello! i will pop over soon! ;0)
FN - show us more! x
FAYE - but i still want chicken soup.....!!
If I were tiny, I'd prolly hide underneath that 'shroom from the hot sun... for a short while anyway and then I'll move on... Like life. :-)
Hooray! Return of The Pod!!!
Hope you're feeling better. I had a similar accident once, so I know it can be a pain in the... well, neck ^^
And are you still after this course using "The bad photographer" title :)
