TOODLE PIP TODD!
Off he goes on another adventure! I don't suppose we'll be seeing him for a while.....
Just wanted to say sorry for not commenting as frequently of late. Have been busy with a course and blah blah blah. All good things. And another course starts in a few weeks! I have submitted some of the Todd series for the student exhibition at the Australian Centre for Photography, so we shall see...
Am also having trouble linking on my sidebar?? So I apologise if I haven't been able to link you yet, I'm not being rude, honest!

I so wanna fly off like this little guy.

Oooh - Good luck with your exbibition.
As for Todd? I shall miss him dearly, but sometimes you have to learn to let go, don't you?
Hope to see you around some day Todd. xx

Third try... hope Blogger doesn't chop up my comment again ò_Ó

I bet Todd will descend from heaven one fine day, with a blue-eared wife and several little Todds at his side^^
As for the exhibition, Todd/pod will win the viewers' hearts with flying colors of course.
Hail to the Brown, White and Dotty!
Thanks for your comment pod - yes, there will be more garden pics this weekend (if the rain should pause for some minutes...)!
Have you warned Todd against the danger of giraffe-piercing planes and birds?
Concerned

There's not a rude bone in your body, Pod. LOVE seeing Todd in flight. It looks like he's in orbit, with the earth just out of sight. Gorgeous!!
Part of what I love about blogging is that people can pop in and out of the scene, comment or not. You're such a beneficent presence, I feel your sparkling life force even when you're busy doing something other than sitting in front of your computer. Please don't apologize.
Hey, Todd, come by and visit Reypod whenever you can, ok? I think there are tall trees with delicious leaves you'll be able to munch on, and plenty of ... uh ... what do giraffes drink?
and where will little todd land next. in the land of plastic hippos and air-filled zebras perhaps? 'twas a nice series pod! good luck in the exhibition.
Reya:
Giraffes of course drink soda syrup and fruitasmic cocktails.
They frequently order from this site:
http://www.giraffebeverages.com/
;-)
I'm with Reya on the blogging etiquette. Fret not. You rock.
Secondly- The Australian Centre for Student Photography?! You GO Pod! Even if you haven't heard back from them yet... good luck, and let us know WHEN they decide to feature your work! :D
I am going to miss Todd - he was uber cool.
And really, I miss you too - you're too busy, young man, too busy. But I know life can be very very rude that way so I shall forgive you and just hang around waiting for your reappearance. *sigh*
Though it's been said before, I'll repeat it: "Oh the places we'll go!"
This has to be my favourite shot in all your Todd series, not because it's a farewell, no (I know I wanted to kill him, wink), but...
because of the unusual framing
and the quality of the blue background. Is is sky, is it water? There is incredible depth here.
You really achieved a 'flying out' effect. Truly a brilliant shot Pod.
Hope you're enjoying the sunshine as much as I am...
AAAWWWWW, so sad to see him go.
Oh Pod!
:O)
Yes - Capt Hardness is!
And no, don't give up...
...perhaps you should do what I did?
A 'crash' course!
xx
Perhaps he's coming down to pounce on something, with his legs forming a sort of snatching basket, like those men who fish by casting their nets by hand.
If there is an infinity of parallel universes, in which everything is played out, then there will also be an infinity of worlds in which plastic giraffes fly and are predatorial, trapping small creatures like rabbits and wombats with their four legs before flying off with them. Perhaps they take them to ledges high up cliffs where they can feed in peace.
I've just had scampi and chips. It felt very nostalgic. Reminded me of those days when prawn cocktail on a bed of lettuce was the very height of sophistication. And scampi in a basket was deluxe and delightful.
Of course, for anyone under sixty, selecting scampi just goes to show that you haven't turned out to be quite the bon viveur that you think you are.
I must say though, I have scampi for the same reason as I sometimes have potted meat or sardines: to be shamelessly provocative.
Good luck with the submission Good Sir Pod.
Sx
This has been a wonderful series. You're a gifted photobug, Pod.
Sherry is very funny. Tho' my daughter loves scampi.... she's only 12. is there no hope for her?
and i'm not sure about carnivorous giraffes.
and did you know, the markings on each giraffe are unique, like human fingerprints? so when he returns, you'll know for sure if its really him.
and BOING.
and.... saying a lot to make up for being late....
xx
Well,I'm later than Lettie so maybe three sheets of foolscap will suffice?
I'm sorry I missed Todd's short life. But I would love to hang that last picture 'Todd's ascension' on my wall Pod.
What do you print it out on? Do you have them printed professionally or at home? (Using 10 cartridges of blue ink in the printing?)
bye Poddypie
xx
Sorry if I'm squatting in your comment space, Podster, but I just wanted to respond to Lettuce, if I may...
That's very kind of you to say so, Lettuce. What would the world be without smiles and the odd bit of sillyness.
In regard to your daughter and her fondness for scampi, I'm sure there is every hope for her. The thing about unfashionable things is that if you carry yourself with enough confidence, you can carry it through and then everybody will want one.
Now where's that Somerfield bumper pack of crab sticks in Salad Cream sauce... Wey hey!!
Most wonderful! And go Pod go, many happy thoughts about your coursework drifting your way from Texas...
He's got to fly away...but he'll be back someday.
Captured on film, no less, it's the Giant Squidiraffe!
Aight, good luck on the submissions....
sorry sherry, but i'm not convinced there is any hope for crab sticks or salad cream.
Podi ... mi too (bla, bla, bla ...)
My f**** job kill me at the moment! Thats the live ...
... nice foto. I hope the the giraffe find his freedom and his luck! Like to be some times your giraffeeeee
Have a nice weekend
