GONE

gone? with a roof so apt for energy- efficient, enviro-friendly modern design. If this was in Dutchess Co we'd convert it to a modern art museum (see the former Nabisco/International Paper Factory DIA Museum in Beacon, NY) or if this was in the UK, I'm sure you would list it. So gone, gone, gone? Find another use promptly, sir, because gone won't fly around here.

If it weren't for the title, I'd marvel at the abstractness. But because of the title, I feel discomforted by the pink glow of the sky.

It's interesting that you labeled this "gone," which definitely gives it an air of creepiness. But it looks like the file name, when you uploaded it, was "peace," which has a whole different connotation. It's funny how you can look at photos in different ways, isn't it?

Flames colour,
Ballooning smoke,
As arsonist flees,
In purloined car.

Will the chickens escape?

Tune in for the next episode of 00Pod...

Out of all of your photos so far, this one is making me think of Wim Wender. Not entirely sure why...

Hello Pod! Once again Pod's eye is amazing.

I love the colours and the shapes in this picture.

I also enjoyed learning from Simonholyetc about periwinkle! The things you learn over here.

(PS; Is one supposed to squeeze lettuce? Doesn't that bruise them? Aren't you supposed to smell them and press their ends? Or is that melon? ((hehe)))

eh? what?

the right kind of squeezing is ok.

Yes, it SHOULD be a teapot, shouldn't it? Its a very very small armadillo.

I used to post pictures of armadillos on my blog.

So thats something you didn't know about me.

:o)

JA - the building (which used to be the old railway carriage building warehouse) has just recently been converted into a performance space called 'carraigeworks'. i had just been there to see some contemporary dance (coz i am cool you see), and i took this on the way back. it is a great space inside. they have kept a lot of the old features. the title 'gone' is totally unrealeted and was meant to make your little brain tick......oh and wim wenders?? anything bad i ever said about you i never nmeant...you are my new best friend ;0)

THOMP - woah! praise the lord!!

MA - never ;0)

JOEL - thanks mate..your icey pics are just too cool!!

JC - good (in a good way) ;0)

JDA - goodness, i feel i should call you sir, or even 'your highness' you look so regal in the pic, like an old (in historical terms) king. i am graced by your presence, further by your comment.....

LETTY - it is a great space. they have done well with the developing so far. all squeezes from pod are good!! and i have some very small teacups to accomodate the small armadillo teapot, so pick up some very rare tiny tealeaves on your way over!!

REYA - that is a good reaction, i am pleased ;0)

STEVE - if anyone was going to notice that, it would have been you! i was unsure what to call it, though i knew what i wanted to provoke. it is a peaceful site...or there is peace at last..is it deadly quiet....something has gone...what was it???

MIMMU - come back!! don't be frightened!! ;0)

INC - i am very impressed with you of late (more than usual). i loved this!! the chickens were long gone though....

SIMON - yes come out come out!! i loved your comment...i looked for the moth, and it is amazingly beautiful, and bittersweet that it may have fed on a periwinkle adorning the head of a poor executionee (if that word exists)...there lies a great story in there. wonderful imagery in my head...i can only bow my head and offer you a crystal glass of the finest sherry on a little silver plate engraved by ginger nuns (they're ever so scarce) ;0)

RAINDOG - yes you can ;0)

LA WENDZ - yes you have, and i am going to be terribly childish and sulk and send you to coventry until further notice..... ;0P

RATZ - weird how the sky came out like that. i was pleased. toodle pip mate!!

JD - glad you found it so......perhaps i shant tell you what i did today......

RW - smell them and press there ends?? darts?? are you on drugs love?? there is a certain technique for squeezing lettuces (lettii??) without hurting them. the technique is passed on my whusper as it is very gentle, though the lettuce feels profound amounts of comfort from such a gentle squueze....erm perhaps we're on the same drugs....but didnt you love schimons comment??

FAYENESS - hello!!

DONS - thanks love...i am linking you KNOW!! so sorry!! here's a x
