LOVE

Not in the TEMPLE
Not in the HEART that pounds
But in the small quiet BISCUIT of the night

i love how your picture captures the sentiment of the poem! It seems to suggest the biscuity night in question...

What a great shadow from that flower! And indeed, as mamasan said, it is a very biscuity night.

As for walking around NYC with me, whenever you visit, I promise we'll do a joint photography expedition! (Reya and I already have plans to take you to the top of the Empire State Building at night!)

you soppy pod or is it poddy sod? :)

the picture is exquisite and monkton is perfect. I'm feeling a bit of a cookie myself. where/when was this taken? My eyes are drawn to Bambie which adds an innocence to the picture.

And I'm still thinking about Glamarama.

Intriguing lighting. Does the box next to Bambi and Bambi's friend have anything to do with the photo?

love? love...actually, I'm really getting obsessed with this box to the right of Bambi! It must be the secret but the interesting lighting obscures it! What does it say? Is it a lightbulb box? Something that goes into something else in the composition?

Is the poem you've just given us what's written on the card there? I've squinted and decided that it says "LOVE" on top, and there's a square with a circle in it... but can't make out anything else.

Additionally, that is one heckuva flower.

yeah, what is it? cough up the info, pod-man. the flower gives off a sense that it's pungent. but they’re definitely not paper whites…and i hope they’re not plastic, like bambi and bambi’s bride there. What is with all this plastic in the compositions?
oh, also, very nice photo. with a select number of objects framed, it gives a lot to think about....

Excellent piccie. I want the Bambi lamp.

Do you know what? If I wake in the night and toddle off to wee, on my way back to bed I stop and rootle in the biscuit jar and sit in bed muunching my biccie and then go back to sleep. It's a must, those midnight biscuits.

Indeed, just so long as it's a plain chocolate biscuit, preferably McVities.

MMM, can't say I'm into Bambi stuff - Am I too old for this? In which case I've been too old since I was 13.

I'll keep the light and the composition. Wonderful.

It's a scary kinda love for me. Maybe it's the kitshy lamp (no offense) and yet, the photo has a soothing side to it - guess that is love in all it's flavors....

btw, thank you for the link to Steve. He has a wonderful eye for light.
